Natwar Parekh Compound is a public housing neighbourhood in east Mumbai that houses individuals who have been relocated from slums throughout the city. This is one of many 'resettled' neighbourhoods in Mumbai's M-East ward, which has the lowest human development indices in the city.

"circle times"
Though largely attended by women, occasionally by a few men, these discussions titled "circle times" became a space for individuals to share not only their experiences of living and negotiating in the neighbourhood but also their hopes and desires.
These were facilitated with open-ended questions or prompts and an empathetic hearing atmosphere.
